EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TUTOR

The Migrant Integration Support Team at South Dublin County
Partnership is looking for a Employability Skills Tutor to support
their employment guidance services. The team, based in Mountain Park
Tallaght, a dynamic and inclusive community centre dedicated to
supporting asylum seekers and refugees in their journey towards
successful integration into our community. We provide a range of
services across South County Dublin aimed at helping individuals
integrate into the community, build autonomy and achieve life and
career goals.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-Employment /
Employability Skills Tutor to deliver weekly, drop-in, and structured
pre-employment training sessions for new communities in South County
Dublin. The tutor will be responsible for providing training and
guidance during structured employability skills workshops including CV
development, mock interviews and guidance on job searching to asylum
seekers and refugees in South County Dublin. This role plays a crucial
part in empowering individuals to enhance their employability and
achieve their employment and career aspirations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CV WORKSHOPS

* Develop and conduct comprehensive CV workshops tailored to the
specific needs and backgrounds of asylum seekers and refugees.
* Assist participants in creating or enhancing their resumes,
emphasizing transferable skills and relevant experience.
* Provide guidance on formatting, language, and content to ensure
that CVs effectively highlight qualifications.

MOCK INTERVIEWS

* Conduct mock interview sessions to help individuals build
confidence and improve their interview skills.
* Provide constructive feedback on interview performance, including
body language, communication, and responses to common interview
questions.
* Tailor mock interviews to different job sectors and industries as
needed.

INDIVIDUALISED/GROUP SUPPORT

* Work one-on-one with participants to address their unique career
development needs.
* Identify barriers to employment and provide information, resources
or referrals to overcome them.
* Work closely with the Migrant Integration Team to assist
participants in setting clear career goals and developing actionable
plans to achieve them.
* Offer guidance on job searching strategies, networking, and
identifying suitable career paths.
* Provide information on local job markets and industries.

DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING

* Maintain accurate records of workshop attendance, individual
progress, and outcomes achieved.
* Prepare regular reports for program evaluation and improvement.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
e.g., career counselling, social work, education.
* Strong knowledge of CV/resume writing, interview techniques, and
career development strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in
working with groups with limited English language ability.
* Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse
populations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong report writing and administrative skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

* Bilingual or multilingual proficiency especially in Ukrainian,
Russian, Georgian, Arabic. Farsi, Pashto or French.
* Previous experience working with asylum seekers, refugees, or
migrant groups.
